ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his property.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent police.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the third respondent / former wife of the petitioner herein, despite the marriage with the petitioner was dissolved, is placing threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there is no complaint pending with the respondent police against the petitioner.

5. The said submission was denied by the petitioner.

6. In such circumstances, without getting into the blame game as to whether the representation seeking police protection was given to the second respondent or not, if the petitioner continues to feel any threat perception from his former wife and mother-inlaw, he is directed to file a fresh representation to the second respondent, who may cause such necessary enquiry on the same and take such appropriate decision as may be necessary to accord protection to the life and liberty of the petitioner.

7. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
