ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner is in custody since 29.03.2019 for the offences punishable under sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(c) and 25 of NDPS Act, 1985, in Crime No.18 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police. He seeks bail.

3. The petitioner in his petition claims that this is the first bail petition before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) points out that the petitioner had earlier filed Crl.O.P.(MD)No.10109 of 2019. It was dismissed on 30.07.2019. There is no whisper about the dismissal of the earlier bail petition. The petitioner had made a false averment before this Court.

No.1758 of 2020 5.Therefore, even while dismissing this criminal original petition, I deem it fit and appropriate to impose a cost of Rs.5,000/- to be remitted to the account opened in the name of Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Legal Services Authority, Chennai under the head of "Environment Fund".
