Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to give permission and police protection for 'Innisai Katcheri' scheduled to be held on 08.02.2021 at about 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm in connection with Sri Pathirakaliamman Kovil, 7th Mandakapadi festival at Keelakadaiyam, Kadaiyam, Tenkasi Taluk and District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2021 within the stipulated period framed by this Court.

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor accepts notice for the respondents.

Mr.A.Sankararamasubramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that 'Innisai Katcheri' is scheduled to be held on 08.02.2021 in connection with Sri Pathirakaliamman Kovil, 7th Mandakapadi festival at Keelakadaiyam, Kadaiyam, Tenkasi Taluk and District. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 27.01.2021 to the respondents and so far, no action has been taken by the respondents.

4. In the circumstances, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.01.2021 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

WP(MD)No.2120 of 2021 pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
