PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 29.12.2017.

This Petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 29.12.2017.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he is in charge of the administration of certain Temple, that the respondents 3 to 5 interfered and posed threat to his life, liberty and right to perform his duties to the Temple and requires Police protection.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the private respondents 3 to 5 would submit that the turn of the petitioner's term of office is completed and at any rate there has never been any threat from these respondents.
5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) has also bowed the submission of the counsel for the private respondents 3 to 5. 6.In view of the submission made on behalf of the respondents 3 to 5 nothing appears to survive for the present. However, if the petitioner continues to have any threat perception to his life and liberty, he is at liberty to move the second respondent with a fresh representation and the second respondent is required to cause such necessary enquiry to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner. 7.In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
