(Crime No.724/2017) PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.724 of 2017 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, Theni District. O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.724 of 2017 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 417, 420 and 506(ii) of I.P.C.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that though the respondent has registered a case on 31.10.2017, so far, final report has not been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent has submitted that the investigation is under progress and the same will be completed within a period of three months.

4. Recording the aforesaid submission, the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.724 of 2017, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
