Respondents/Complainant Prayer: This Criminal Original petition is filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, to dispose of the above criminal case in C.C.No.55 of 2017 in Crime No.215 of 2011, pending on his file as expeditiously as possible, more fully within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed by accused no.1 to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.55 of 2017, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is working as a Manager in Kallikudi Agricultural Extension Centre and he is about to retire in the month of May 2018. In such circumstances, he is requesting this Court to give a direction to the concerned Magistrate, to dispose of the above case at the earliest.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent has submitted that totally 12 witnesses have been cited and the learned Judicial Magistrate has issued summons to the witnesses LW.1 to LW.3, for the hearing dated 24.01.2018. He further submitted that some reasonable time may kindly be fixed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for completing the trial.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam, is directed to expedite the trial and dispose of the C.C.No.55 of 2017, pending on his file, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the respondent Police is directed to produce the witnesses without taking un-necessary adjournments and the petitioner and other accused also directed to cross-examine the witnesses on the same day without getting any further adjournment.

5. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
