PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the second respondent police to file final report within stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court in Crime No.51 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to file a final report in Crime No.51 of 2016, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the second respondent has registered a case on 05.03.2016, for the offence under Sections 279 and 304 (A) of I.P.C, for the death of the petitioner's son. He further submitted that the petitioner is suspecting with regard to the cause of death of his son and hence, he gave a representation to the second respondent by mentioning the name of a person, but, even thereafter, the second respondent has not completed the investigation.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents has submitted that the investigation is under progress and the same will be completed and final report will be filed within a period of six months.

4. Considering the fact that the case is pending from the year 2016, the second respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observation, the Criminal Original petition is disposed of.
