Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to give adequate police protection for harvesting paddy planted in the petitioner's properties bearing survey No.9/9 measuring 7 acres 60 cents in that eastern southeast 80 cents and in survey No.15/1 to an extent 1/3

of 95 cents and in survey no.9/2 to an extent of 35 cents in Kudikaadu Village, Sirumarudhur Post, Avudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pudukottai District, based on representation given the petitioner dated 27.01.2021.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to give adequate police protection for harvesting paddy planted in the petitioner's properties bearing Survey No.9/9 measuring 7 acres 60 cents in that eastern southeast 80 cents and in survey No.15/1 to an extent of 95 cents and in survey no.9/2 to an extent of 35 cents in Kudikaadu Village, Sirumarudhur Post, Avudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pudukottai District, based on representation given the petitioner dated 27.01.2021.

2. The complaint lodged by the petitioner dated 27.01.2021 as against the respondents 5 to 21, is pending with the file of the respondent police. On the strength of the said complaint, the petitioner now sought for police protection at the hands of the respondent police.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner after issuing notice to the petitioner and the respondents 5 to 21 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
