JUDGMENT

The Criminal Appeal is directed against the judgment of acquittal, passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, in S.T.C.No.291 of 2012, dated 29.06.2017 in the proceedings initiated under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. 1/4

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (ie., 24.10.2025), there is no representation for the respondent. It is evident from the records that notice sent to the appellant came to be returned as 'died' along with death certificate, wherein it is evident that the appellant died on 06.01.2025.

3. Recording the same, the Criminal Appeal is dismissed as abated.
