O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.271 of 2018 on the file of learned Judicial Magistrate Fast Track Level, Karur, Karur District.

2.The complaint was lodged against the petitioner under Sections 138, 141 & 142 of Negotiable Instruments Act and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.271 of 2018 by the learned Judicial Magistrate Fast Track Level, Karur, Karur District for dishonour of cheque. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come forward with this petition to quash the same.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has already paid a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the beneficiary account through RTGS on 15.05.2017. However, he further submits that though the petitioner seeks to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.271 of 2018, it would be suffice to issue a direction to the Court below to expedite the trial and pass orders within the time stipulated by this Court.

4.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, the learned Judicial Magistrate (Fast Track Level), Karur, Karur District is directed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.271 of 2018 on his file and pass orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
