ORDER

The present petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.2 of 2018 on the basis of the orders passed by the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Tiruchirappalli in Crl.M.P.Nos.12372 and 8495 of 2019.

2.Mr.B.Prasath Nadaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contended that petitioner's sister died due to injuries inflicted upon her by her husband and his relatives during the month of January 2018 and that the respondent closed the First Information Report in Crime No.2 of 2018 contending that there is no dowry harassment. His further contention is that the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Tiruchirappalli, did not accept the referred charge sheet filed by the respondent police and on the other hand, the Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Tiruchirappalli, directed Mr.Sundaramoorthy, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Srirangam to re-investigate the Crime No.2 of 2018 of All Women Police Station, Srirangam, Trichy vide his orders dated 03.10.2019 in Crl.M.P.Nos.12372 and 8495 of 2019. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.1754 of 2021 3.Mr.R.Erottusamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent, on instructions, would contend that the case is registered as S.C.No.C/2714/2021 on 05.02.2021 and Mr.Sundaramoorthy, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Srirangam, is re-investigating the case and prayed for three months time to file a final report. 4.Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the Crimianl Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Srirangam, to expedite the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of the order.

5.With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
