Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to dispossess the petitioner from doing the business of Street Vending of Tiffin Stall near Hotel Aryas, Opposite to Mattuthavani Bus Stand, Madurai, in contra to the provisions of "The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Bill 2014 and the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood, Regulations of Street Vending) Act 2014 and the Tamilnadu Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Scheme and Rules, 2015, by considering petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2020. ORDER
This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents not to dispossess the petitioner from carrying on her street vending business of tiffin centre opposite to Mattuthavani Bus Stand, Madurai.
2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent/Corporation would submit that if a representation is submitted by the petitioner, the same would be considered by the first respondent, after following due process of law.
3. In the light of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to make a representation to the first respondent, who shall on receipt of the representation, dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from the date on which the petitioner submits her representation after affording due opportunity to the petitioner to make her submissions by following due process of law.
