PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the 1st Respondent to file a final report in connection with the FIR in Crime No.1 of 2019 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. O RDER This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to 1st Respondent to file a final report in connection with the FIR in Crime No.1 of 2019 within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the case was registered for the offence punishable under Sections 120(b), 419, 420 of IPC in Crime No.1 of 2019, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the petition.
3.The respondent official is present before this Court today and stated that so far 27 accused have been implicated in this case. Out of the above said 27 accused persons 18 persons were secured and remanded into judicial custody. Later they have been released on bail. 9 more persons yet to be arrested. All the accused persons belongs to North India. The impersonator have not been identified. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that it will require at least 9 months to complete the process of investigation. 2/5
4.Considering the above said facts and circumstances of the case and even though the crime is of the year 2019, considering the seriousness of the offence and ramification involved, this Court is of the view that the respondent requires reasonable time. Accordingly, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in this case within a period of 9 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
