PRAYER:- Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents more particularly the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner' s representation dated 20-09-2020 having been submitted for not to transfer the name in the property tax records pertaining to the house property bearing Door No.96 Gandhi Colony, Valliyoor, Tirunelveli District and also having property Tax Assessment No.10948 on merits and in accordance with law and subsequently dispose of the same within a time frame as specified by this Court forthwith. 1/4

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 20.09.2020 and not to transfer the name of the petitioner in the property tax with respect to subject property.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent, on instructions, submitted that till date, the property tax has been assessed only in the name of the petitioner and there is no mutation in the name. That apart, there are civil litigations that are pending between the parties.

3. In light of the above submission, it is clear that the property tax continues to be assessed only in the name of the petitioner and therefore, the 2/4
