The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and provide police protection to conduct the Kabaddi competition from 24.01.2026 (Saturday) at 8.00 a.m. to 26.01.2026 (Monday) at 10.30 p.m., being a three-day, day and night tournament, at Thiyagi Immanuvel Playground, Vadakku Karasri Village, Murappanadu Post, Srivaikundam Taluk, Thoothukudi District.

2. This Court without expressing any opinion on merits is directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
