O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give police protection to the petitioner based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 17.12.2017. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is a major and she is working as a nurse in Velammal Hospital. He further submitted that the parents of the petitioner are compelling the petitioner to marry against her will and hence she left from the house and stayed at Door No.7/72, Nadavur Ramasamyapuram, Devipattinam, Sivagirin Taluk, Tirunelveli District. Hence, the petitioner seeks protection.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.6 of 2018 under Section 342 of I.P.C., https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

against the petitioner's parents and her relatives, but, she has not appeared for enquiry. He further submitted that when the police tried to contact the petitioner in her working place, Velammal Medical college Hospital, it was informed that she left the job and hence, the learned Government Advocate requested to direct the petitioner to appear before the respondent.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the petitioner is directed to appear before the third respondent for the purpose of investigation and to co-operate for investigation. The third respondent is directed to advice the parents of the petitioner not to compel her to marry against her wish because she is a major lady, she can take decision with regard to her marriage.

5. With the aforesaid observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
