ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, to direct the respondent to register a case, based upon the complaint given by the petitioner dated 11.11.2017. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is working as a Secretary to the Village Panchayat of Valayapathy Village Panchayat, Alanganalur Union, Madurai District. He further submitted that one Chokkaiyan, used to send petitions seeking information under the Right To Information Act and the petitioner has replied the said petitions then and there. He further submitted that when the fact remains so, on 11.11.2017 at about 02.30 p.m. the said Chokkaiyan along with his men came to the petitioner's house and took photographs and also criminally intimidated the petitioner and also assaulted the petitioner's wife and with regard to the said occurrence, the petitioner gave a complaint on 11.11.2017, but, so far the respondent has not taken any steps to register the case. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted

that the complaint is pending for enquiry.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law.

5.With the aforesaid observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
