ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by an employee of Madurai Kamaraj University seeking a mandamus as against the Insurance Company for medical reimbursement to a tune of Rs.5,62,859/-. 2/6
2. A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Madurai on 12.10.2024 due to cardiological problem and he was hospitalized between 12.10.2024 to 30.10.2024. The petitioner was discharged on 30.10.2024. According to the petitioner, he has spent a sum of Rs.5,62,859/- towards medical expenses.
3. The petitioner has submitted his claim to the Insurance Company on 06.11.2024. The Insurance Company has called for certain additional documents from the writ petitioner on 29.12.2024. So far, the petitioner has not resubmitted or furnished the additional documents as called for by the Insurance Company.
4. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to submit the additional documents called for by the Insurance Company in their proceedings, dated 29.12.2024. The respondent/Insurance Company shall consider the additional documents and pass orders as per the scheme within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of documents from the writ petitioner. 3/6
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
