PRAYER in WP(MD)No.24070 of 2018 : Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents and in particular the second respondent to conclude the enquiry in Na.Ka.A1/1565/2017, dated 23.10.2017 as per G.O.Ms.No.540, Revenue LD6(2) Department, dated 04.12.2014 with regard to the encroachment made by the respondents 4 to 10 in the streets in S.Nos.620/8, 620/15, 620/20, 621/1, 621/5 and all the paths in the subdivisions of S.No.621 of S.V.Mangalam Village, Singampuneri Taluk, Sivagangai District within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, who produced the letter of the Tahsildar, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District, vide Na.Ka.A3/5370/2018, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Cont.P.(MD)No.155 of 2020 dated 23.07.2020, wherein it has been stated, among other things, that the encroachments caused in S.Nos.620/8, 620/15, 620/20, 621/1 and 621/5 in S.V.Mangalam Group and Village Panchayat, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District, have been removed. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would also submit that there will be no fresh encroachment or re-encroachment in the said Survey Numbers. The said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, is placed on record.

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the light of the said development, nothing remains for further adjudication in this contempt petition.

3. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. The letter of the Tahsildar, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District, vide Na.Ka.A3/5370/2018, dated 23.07.2020, shall form part of the record.
