ORDER

This petition has been filed to punish the respondent herein for his willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.5509 of 2021, dated 19.04.2021.

2. By the order of this Court, dated 19.04.2021, a direction was issued to the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the investigation was completed and final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Trichy, on 16.03.2022. But, it has not been taken on cognizance so far.

4. Since the final report has been filed before the concerned Court, nothing survives for further consideration or direction in this petition.

5. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed and the contemnor/respondent is discharged.

6. The learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Trichy is directed to process the final report presented by the respondent police in accordance with law.
