This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.16 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent dated 04.10.2014.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side).

3. The petitioner, who is accused of offences of rape and criminal intimidation of the de-facto complainant, seeks to quash on the ground of delay in preferring the complaint and that there was a dispute between the accused, a medical shop owner and the Doctor within whose premises the complainant's family lives.

4. Truth or otherwise of the complaint allegations are a matter for investigation. On the face of it informs commission of cognizable offences.

5. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition shall stand dismissed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
