ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.33 of 2016 on the file of the 2nd respondent police within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. The petitioner is the de facto complainant and has preferred a complaint against the first accused in this case, alleging that he had been stalking on her and was holding out threats and was also keen to invite her privacy. The case was accordingly registered under Section 506 (i) IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case has been closed as mistake of fact on 18.04.2016 and that the petitioner herself has given a statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C., before the concerned Magistrate.

5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is yet to be informed about this.

6. In view of the above, the petitioner is now directed to approach the concerned Magistrate and work out her remedies as per law. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
