ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent nos. 1 and 2 herein to provide Police Protection to the petitioners' life and limb on the basis of the petitioners' representation dated 10.01.2026.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the first and second petitioners were in love with each other who are relatives and the same was objected by the first petitioner's parents namely the respondents 3 and 4. They left home and got married on 09.01.2026. The marriage was accepted by the second petitioner's family. Since the petitioners have faced life threat by the respondents 3 and 4, the first petitioner had made complaint before the first respondent to provide police protection. Since the harassment of the respondents 3 and 4 are still continues, the petitioners have filed the present petition.

3. Learned Government Advocate submitted that there is no harassment by the respondent police. Since the marriage of the petitioners was accepted by the parents of the second petitioner, the petitioners are living with them.
