ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the petitioner for measuring the petitioner's lands in Padiyur Village, Survey No.1563/2B, 1563/3, 1563/4B, 1563/7, 1563/8, 1563/10B, 1563/12, 1563/13, 1582/1B and Survey No.1563/11 situated Padiyur Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that earlier the petitioner has laid a civil suit in O.S.No.348 of 2012 before the District Munsif Court, Vedasandur against the (private) respondents 3 to 6 herein and the same came to be decreed. As the petitioner now attempts to measure his property, he faces obstructions from them.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is now directed to apply for measuring his property to the Taluk Surveyor, who while issuing notice to the petitioner and other adjacent owners of the petitioner's property, is also directed to issue a notice / request to the second respondent police to grant him police protection to carry out his official duty. On receipt of any such intimation, the second respondent is directed to provide such necessary police protection for the surveyor to perform his official duty. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
