ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to grant permission for conducting the village festival at Akkaraipatti, Thathamangalam, Samayapuram, Manachanallur Taluk, Trichy District, on 25.01.2026 and 26.01.2026, based on the application dated 19.01.2026 and for consequential orders.

On perusing the representation, it is seen that the petitioner seeks permission to conduct a dance programme on 25.01.2026 from 7.00 p.m. and Karakattam on 26.01.2026 at 10:00 a.m. The respondents are directed to grant permission to conduct the Karakattam scheduled on 26.01.2026 at 10.00 a.m. As far as the dance programme scheduled on 25.01.2026 is concerned, the respondents shall grant permission to conduct the same from 7.00 p.m., to 10.00 p.m., only. The said dance programme shall be videographed and no obscene performance shall be permitted.
