3.Chandrasekar : Respondents PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the first respondent to seize the gold jewels, silver ornaments and cash of Rs.1,20,000/- from 3rd respondent which were recovered by him from the accused in Crime No.681 of 2018 and produce the same before the competent Court of law so as to enable the petitioner to get back his jewels and cash within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present petition is filed for a direction to the second respondent police to produce the jewelry / material object stolen in the case in Crime No.681 of 2018.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that four accused have been arrested. But no recovery have been made.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would respond that he has a reliable information that the golden jewelry has been recovered by the third respondent when he was the Investigating Officer.

4. In view of the above, now this Court directs the Karur Town Police Station to oversee the investigation in Crime No.681 of 2018

and also to verify with the third respondent about the allegation that there was recovery of golden jewelry on the basis of the facts disclosed by the accused persons during interrogation. The entire investigation is directed to be completed as early as possible.

5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
