Respondent Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to provide the electricity connection to the petitioner's house property i.e. Railway Compound Road, Thiruvidamarudur, Thanjavur District, in S.No.270/17 on the basis of the petitioner's representation and application dated 08.01.2020.

ORDER

There is no appearance for the petitioner.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent/Board would submit that the request of the petitioner has been turned down on 03.02.2022, in view of the fact that the sale deed standing in the name of the petitioner relates to a different property, that is S.No.207/15A, whereas the patta that has been enclosed in Page No.7 of the typed set of papers relates to S.No.207/17. That apart, there has been an objection filed against the grant of electricity service connection.

3. In view of the fact that final orders have been passed by the Electricity Board rejecting the petitioner's request to grant electricity connection to the petitioner to the said S.No.207/17, the only option available to the petitioner is to challenge that proceedings. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
