ORDER

Mr.S.Kameshwaran, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks limited relief of issuance of mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner temple.

3. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has made an application for issuance of patta on 23.01.2025 and the same is pending without any progress.

5. The petitioner in the process of restoring, renovating the heritage of A/m. Meenakshi Sundareshwarar Temple at Muthooranpatti Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District has approached the electricity authorities for service connection to be provided to the temple and since the authorities have instructed the petitioner to obtain patta in the name of the temple to enable them to provide electricity service connection. The petitioner has given a representation to the respondents on 14.01.2025 and thereafter on 23.01.2025.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on records.

7. Considering the limited scope of relief sought for, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the 3rd respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 23.01.2025 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from today. 3/6

8. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations and directions. No costs.
