ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner and her 2 female children for their life and limb.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who is the former wife of the fourth respondent faces threat to her life and liberty at the hands of the fourth respondent and his henchmen. The petitioner complains that the third respondent police is not even enquired to receive the complaint that she wants to present.

4. Contrary to the statement of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the complaint has been received and is being enquired into.

5. Since the petitioner has no current legal status to boast, her life necessarily needs to be protected. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent is directed to hold such necessary enquiry on the pending complaint of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner and take such appropriate decision as to protect the petitioner's life, limb and liberty. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
