Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents.

2. Even though the petitioner has included as many as four survey numbers in the writ prayer, on perusal of 'A' Register, we are satisfied that survey No.85/4 of Poothipuram Village alone has been classified as channel. The other survey numbers do not appear to be water bodies.

3. We therefore direct the third respondent to ensure that the character of survey No.85/4 is maintained as such and it should be restored to its original position. This writ petition stands disposed of 2/4
