ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the second respondent to release Chevrolet car bearing Registration No.TN-22-CH-5435 owned by the petitioner, which was seized on 10.08.2022 by the second respondent.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sankarankovil, has seized the vehicle alleging illegal registration of the vehicle and handed over the vehicle to Puliyangudi Police Station for safe custody and that Since the vehicle was not seized by the respondent police, the question of issuing direction to the respondent police does not arise all.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the notice 2/4

or order of recovering the vehicle issued or passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sankarankovil.
