ORDER
This Criminal Original petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to instruct the 3rd and 4th respondents not to harass the petitioner by interfering with the hotel business of the petitioner Door No.22, at Salai Street, Tiruchendur Main Road, Alwarthirunagari, Thoothukudi District, without following due process of law.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's complains that sometime in the year 2005, the petitioner was charged with an offence under Section 379 IPC, which he was forced to admit and eversince the petitioner is being incessantly harassed by the 3rd and 4th respondents. He further submitted that earlier he had moved this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.14879 of 2017 with a prayer to pass an order directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents not to harass the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has a propensity to commit theft and several cases have been laid against him. Each one of them admitted the offence.
5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a reformed offender, but the police will not let him reform in the eye of the society as it repeatedly book cases, and that the petitioner is doing his business.
6. Suffice for the present, it is stated that if the petitioner is suspected in connection with any case, the respondents are required to act strictly as per law.
7. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
