Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse petitioner's retirement benefits (Gratuity, Provident Fund, Earned Leave Encashment, and other dues) along with 6 percent interest per annum for the delay in payment.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse petitioner's retirement benefits (Gratuity, Provident Fund, Earned Leave Encashment and other dues) along with 6 percent interest per annum for the delay in payment. 2.Heard Mr.N.Sudhagar Nagaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.K.Balasubramanian, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.D.Jebaraj, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 2 and 3.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed on 08.11.1991 and retired from service on 31.07.2024 after rendering more than 32 years of unblemished service. 2/5
The grievance of the petitioner is that the eligible pensionary benefits have not been disbursed to him upon retirement. In this regard, the petitioner has also submitted a representation on 26.12.2024 to the respondents, requesting to disburse his pensionary benefits. As no action was taken on this representation, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition before this Court.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.12.2024 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.12.2024 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed 3/5
