ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner / accused apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 406 and 420 IPC in Crime No.382 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein, who is a joint custodian of the locker maintained by the Muthoot Bank, Checkanurani Branch was dishonestly took 10 pockets of gold jewels which was pledged by the customers. Hence, the complaint.

3. The leaned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and his name has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner herein was suspended from service on 22.06.2023 and seeks anticipatory bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner herein is only in-charge of the locker during the relevant period of occurrence and hence, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much 2/4

necessary and the earlier anticipatory bail petition filed by this petitioner was dismissed by this Court, vide order dated 20.12.2023, hence, he strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the serious nature of offence committed by the petitioner and there is no change in circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
