PRAYER:- Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to assess and pay the adequate compensation for the demolished in the front of the petitioner's house property comprised in Survey No.401/2 Door No.6/73, Patta No.2321, situated at Vilachery Village, Nagamalaipudhukottai, Madurai District, by the respondents based upon the petitioner's representation dated 11-11-2020. 1/4

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to assess and pay the adequate compensation for the demolition done in the front of the petitioner's house property situated in Survey No.401/2 Door No.6/73, Patta No.2321, situated at Vilachery Village, Nagamalaipudhukottai, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 11-11-2020.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has already handed over the bundle to the petitioner and also given change of vakalat one year back. Till date, the petitioner has not chosen to engage any other counsel.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted particulars of all encroachments that were removed and it is seen that the petitioner is one of the encroacher, whose portion of the house was also removed.

4. In view of the above, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court. There are no merits in this writ petition and accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
