PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to issue Passport to the petitioner by considering his passport Application in Fine No.MD1075353406825 on the file of the 1st respondent by considering the representation dated 16.09.2025 given by the Petitioner. 1/4

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent for issuance of the passport to the petitioner by considering his representation dated 16.09.2025.

The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second and third respondents brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case and he was convicted and paid fine. As far as another case in Cr.No.202 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent is concerned, which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet on 07.10.2025 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai. The memo of objections have been raised by the concerned Court and it was refiled on 07.12.2025. So far, the same has not been taken on file.

Considering the fact that the allegations as against the petitioner relates to collision between two vehicles, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the request for the petitioner for issuance of the passport and pass orders within a period of 4(four) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
