The instant writ petition has been filed by an Inspector of Police, challenging the order of transfer dated 22.01.2024, wherein the petitioner was transferred from VR, Tiruchirapalli Range Formerly Trichy City to Cyber Crime Police Station, Karur District.

A perusal of the typed set of papers, it could be seen that by way of proceedings dated 01.02.2024, the petitioner was again transferred from Cyber Crime Police Station, Karur to Cyber Crime Police Station, Pudukkottai District. Subsequently, the orders dated 22.01.2024 and 01.02.2024 have been cancelled by way of proceedings dated 05.02.2024 and the petitioner was accommodated as an Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station (AWPS) Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District. 2/5

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has brought to the notice of this Court that immediately after passing of the impugned order on 22.01.2024, the petitioner has made a request to transfer herself to some of the places mentioned in her representation dated 24.01.2024 and based upon the said representation, the petitioner has been accommodated at All Women Police Station, Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District.

It could also be seen from the files that the petitioner has reported for duty at the office of the Superintendent of Police, Pudukkottai, on 09.02.2024 and later she has joined and taken charge as the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District, at 05.00 p.m., on 09.02.2024. There are no records to indicate that the petitioner has made any further request for re-transferring herself to Tiruchirappalli Range.
5. In such circumstances, this Court is of the considered opinion that the order impugned in the writ petition has been cancelled and subsequent transfer order has been passed and the same has also been accepted by the writ petitioner and nothing survives to be adjudicated in the present writ 3/5
petition. In case, if the petitioner wishes to get herself re-transferred to Tiruchirappalli Range, it is always open to the petitioner to approach the concerned authority with a representation. If any such representation made by the petitioner, the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law.
6. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions stand closed.
