4.M.Logamani : Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C to direct the 1st to 3rd respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family from the 4th respondent and his men's life threat for grabbing amount from the petitioner as exorbitant interest sum of Rs.3,00,000/- as well as Rs.4,00,000/-, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2019. ORDER

The petitioner complains that he faces threat to his life and his family members at the instance of the fourth respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the fourth respondent is a usurious money lender.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the complaint preferred by the petitioner was enquired and closed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. For the present the petitioner alleges that he faces threat to his life and liberty and his family members from the fourth respondent, he is directed to give a fresh complaint to the third respondent and on such fresh complaint, the third respondent is directed to enquire into the matter of the complaint filed by the petitioner and take such appropriate decision as may be necessary to protect the life, liberty and right to the property of the petitioner and his family members.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.

7. It is made clear that this Court does not order granting of police protection 24 x 7 and the third respondent is left to decide on the basis of the objective assessment of the threat perception of the petitioner from time to time.
