O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.111 of 2020 of Thallakulam Police Station, Madurai.

2.The main grievance of the petitioner is that though four cases are registered against the present petitioner and in one case in Crime No.2152 of 2019 of Thallakulam Police Station, Madurai, an order has been passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8750 of 2020, dated 10.09.2020, directing the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Madurai City to monitor the investigation. However, since the Inspector of Police, Thallakulam Police Station, gave no objection certificate to the accused to get a passport, he has gone abroad and hence, no progress in Crime No.2152 of 2019. 3.Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent, on instructions, would contend that the investigation in Crime No.111 of 2020 is underway and sought four months time to file a final report. 4.

A perusal of the orders passed in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8750 of 2020 shows that this Court directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Madurai City to monitor the investigation in Crime No.2152 of 2019 of Thallakulam Police Station, Madurai. As far as the present case is concerned in Crime No.111 of 2020, the petitioner seeks for a direction to expedite the investigation in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.

Crl.OP(MD).No.2663 of 2021 Crime No.111 of 2020 and file a final report. 5.Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report/referred charge sheet, as the case may be in Crime No.111 of 2020 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of the order.

6.With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
