O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The scheme of incentive increment has been implemented by the Government by way of concession in order to increase the teachers to possess additional educational qualification to impart better education to the students. Such incentive increments are to be granted scrupulously by following the terms stipulated in the Government order.

2. Scheme being a concession cannot be claimed as an absolute right, more so, beyond the scope of the Government scheme. Admittedly, the review petitioner has already received three set of incentive increments for acquiring additional educational qualifications.

3. The petitioner submitted an application seeking four incentive increments, which were not considered and the writ petition came to be

instituted.

4. We have considered the issues and rejected the claim by confirming the order of learned Single Judge in W.A.(MD).No.1811 of 2021 dated 23.11.2023. The Review petitioner appearing in person would submit that as per the Government he is eligible. However, we do not find any merit in the contention, since the scope of scheme of incentive increments cannot be expanded by the Courts.

5. That being so, the petitioner has not made out any case for entertaining the review petition and consequently stands dismissed. No costs. [S.M.S., J.] [V.L.N., J.] 30.08.2024 Jeni Index : Yes Speaking order / Non-speaking order
