ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to accept the house tax based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.09.2025.

2. Mr.K.Balasubramani, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mrs.Ahamed Yasmin Parvin, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent.

3. By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, a representation dated 17.09.2025 was filed by the petitioner before the 2nd respondent, requesting them to accept the house tax and enter the petitioner assessment number in website. However, the said 2/5

representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition.

5. In reply, the learned Special Government Pleader and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of by the respondent within a period of 4 weeks.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record.

7. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation filed by the petitioner dated 17.09.2025 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5

8. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
