O R D E R

The present petition is laid to quash the final report in Crime No.11 of 2018, which has been taken cognizance by the learned Judicial Magistrate cum Additional Mahila Court, Trichy and now pending in C.C.No.118 of 2018. The offences involved in this case are one under Sections 406 and 498(A) I.P.C., and Sections 3(1) and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. The petitioners herein respectively are the mother-in-law and the brother-in-law of the second respondent / de facto complainant.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submitted that the trial of the case has already been commenced and P.W.1 was examined on 08.02.2019.

4.Inasmuch as the trial has commenced, this Court does not want to interfere with the case at this stage and this Court directs the petitioners to participate in the trial. Inasmuch as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the accusation is directed against the second respondent's husband, who is arrayed as accused no.1 in this case, this Court feels that it is appropriate to dispense with the appearance of both the petitioners, unless the trial Court requires their presence for any purposes. Accordingly, this Court dispensed with the appearance of the petitioners before the Trial Court.

5.In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
