PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to remove an unlawful encroachment made by the 4th and 6th respondents in Kirungakottai S.No.260/16 which has been classified as Government Poromboke Street in revenue records on basis of the notice issued under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act 1905 dated 30.09.2025 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to remove the unlawful encroachment made by the respondents 4 and 6 in Kirungakottai S.No.260/16, which is classified as Government Poromboke (Street) in the revenue records, on the basis of the notice issued under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, dated 30.09.2025.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the encroachments had already been removed on 03.02.2026. In support of the said submission, he produced the proceedings of the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.A4/1682/2025, dated 23.03.2026, along with photographs evidencing the removal of the encroachments.

3.Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
