ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the alleged offence under Sections 4(1)(a) r/w. 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.18 of 2024, seek anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal 1/3

possession of 155 numbers of brandy bottles (each contains 180 ml) and the same was seized by the respondent Police.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and the petitioner is falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner is a habitual offender. Apart from this case, 30 previous cases are pending against the petitioner in similar nature. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that already 30 previous cases are pending against the petitioner in similar nature and he is a habitual offender, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
