: Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to produce the body of the petitioner's son/detenu namely Soundar @ Soundara Pandian, S/o.Ramaiah, aged about 42 years before this Court and handover the custody of the detenu to the petitioner.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.VIMALA, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu to produce her husband, namely, Soundar @ Soundara Pandian, aged about 42 years.

2.As per the allegations made in the petition, the contention is that on 29.01.2018, the detenu was taken by the Police (second and third respondents herein) and thereafter, his whereabouts are not known.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would state that the detenu is the accused in Crime No.59 of 2018, on the file of C2, Subramaniapuram Police Station, Madurai and he is an accused under Section 20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
