ORDER
The petitioner, who is an octogenarian, complains of threat to her life, limb and liberty at the hands of the respondents 4 to 8.
2. Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Nos.1 to 3.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that earlier the petitioner had preferred a complaint against the fourth respondent, based on which a case in Crime No.51 of 2019 was registered for the offences under Sections 294 (b), 323 and 506(i) IPC.

4. If the petitioner faces any real threat to her life, limb and liberty, she is directed to give a fresh representation with the third respondent police and on such fresh representation, the third respondent police is directed to cause such necessary enquiry on the complaint filed by the petitioner and take such appropriate decision as may be necessary to protect the life, limb and liberty of the petitioner.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
6. It is made clear that this Court does not order granting of police protection 24 x 7 and the third respondent is left to decide on the basis of the objective assessment of the threat perception of the petitioner from time to time.
