PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to ensure the petitioner's role as Vice President of Karumal Panchayat, Mudhukulathur Union, Ramanathapuram District, by taking appropriate action against the respondents 4 and 5 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 04.01.2021.

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing respondent Nos.1 to 3 to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 04.01.2021 and to pass orders.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is the Vice President of the Karumal Panchayat, Ramanathapuram District. The petitioner alleges that he belongs to the opposition party and therefore, he 2/5
is not being allowed to perform his role as the Vice President of the Panchayat. According to the petitioner, he is not consulted for anything and that he is insisted for signing in cheques towards fake bills and that he is not even being given notice for attending the meetings. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 04.01.2021 and since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.
4. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the grievance of the petitioner continues even till date.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to act upon the grievance expressed by the petitioner through the representation dated 04.01.2021 and take an appropriate decision strictly in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
