Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to settle interest at the rate of 6 percentage per annum for the belated payment of petitioners terminal benefits including Gratuity, Teminal Leave Salary, Commuted Value of Pension and Provident Fund from the date of his retirement to till the date on which the said benefits were settled to him and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice. O R D E R

The learned counsel for the respondents and the learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the order passed in the writ petition has been complied with. However, 6% interest, as applicable to the commutation alone is yet to be paid.

2. Thus, the respondents have to look into the issue regarding payment of interest for commutation, in accordance with rules and settle the same accordingly. The Contempt petition stands closed.
