JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Government.

2. This appeal is directed against the order dated 10.03.2020 passed by the learned single Judge in W.P.(MD)No.12438 of 2012 directing the appellants to pay the gratuity amount of Rs.3,77,784/- to the writ petitioner.

3. The writ petitioner had retired as welder in the department of Agricultural Engineering, Trichirappalli on 31.10.2010. Though the writ petitioner has been served and his name is printed in the cause list, he has not chosen to enter appearance.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader states that the entire sum was disbursed in two installments. On 17.09.2012, a sum of Rs.3,17,124/- was paid. On 20.11.2017, the balance amount of Rs.60,660/- was also paid. Unfortunately, this fact of disbursement was omitted to be placed before the learned single Judge when the writ petition was taken up for final disposal.

5. Copies of the proceedings issued by the department has also been placed before us. We are satisfied that the writ petitioner had also been disbursed with the entire gratuity amount. 3/5

6. Recording the submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, the Writ Appeal is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
