O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.VIMALA, J] This petition has been filed by wife, seeking direction to the respondents herein to produce her husband, namely, Parthiban, S/o Palpandi, aged about 24 years before this Court and set him at liberty

2. According to the petitioner, she, after completion of her teacher training course and while working as Data Entry Operator, developed friendship with the detenu, which subsequently ended in their marriage on 07.02.2018 at Arulmighu Srinivasa Kovil and both belong to different community. While so, from 11.02.2018 onwards, her husband was found missing and she was not be able to find out his whereabouts even after hectic search. petitioner lodged a complaint to the 2nd respondent on 12.02.2018 and since there was no effective steps taken by the respondent police, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 02.03.2017, the detenu, who was present before this Court along with his father, had stated that pursuant to his marriage with the petitioner herein, there was a group clash between his family and the petitioner and thereafter, an amicable settlement has been reached between them, as per the terms of which, the father of the detenu has already paid a sum of Rs.3,00,000/-. Since it was reported that the amount was not handed over to the petitioner, the matter stood adjourned for ascertaining the same.

4. Today, the petitioner is present before this Court along with her father and the father of the detenu is also present in this Court, who would state that the amount of Rs.3,00,000/- has been duly handed over to the parents of the petitioner and the said statement has been endorsed by the petitioner and her father.

5. In view of the above submissions made on either side, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed. The amount of Rs.3,00,000/- shall be deposited in the name of the petitioner herein. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CS-III) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To:
